The Play Cousins podcast is back for their third installment, and not a single second was wasted in this special 2-hour episode.
Jameer and I decided to invite up two of some of our favorite people in the hip hop industry to participate in one of our significant discussions on the show. This episode features producer Mike Medium, who discusses his rise to the top of the DJ scene in New York, and nationally, as well as writer Dani Howe, who talks about using her pen game to earn herself a high title writing for The STASHED. We even got to be graced with a brief appearance at the beginning and end by our favorite and hard-working friend, King Louie.
As we got through some more filthier topics, we dive into our main topic of the episode: disappointments in hip hop. From the underwhelming rise and fall of Lloyd Banks and Juelz Santana, to naming our most underrated MC’s in the game, we didn’t hold back a thing as we bounced off theories from one hip hop head to the other.
