Dive into Lindsey’s articles, interviews, copywriting portfolio, as well as her original content spanning the last decade. Starting out as hip-hop journalist, Lindsey was passionate about telling the stories of artists and public figures with a platform from both an empathetic and unique perspective.
After landing an internship with GlobalGrind.com in 2011 during her sophomore year at St. John’s University in Queens, NY, Lindsey wrote her first editorial articles and conducted her first interviews under their Entertainment section. She eventually signed on to their weekend staff as a writer, covering a broader spectrum of topics, including music, hard news and social justice, fashion, sports, health and wellness and more. In 2015, she was promoted to the outlet’s official night editor, managing the overnight digital content for the platform on both the website, as well as their social platforms.
After 5 years with Global Grind, Lindsey branched off to other media platforms to cover more niche topics and stories through documentaries and event recaps, as well as investigative reporting, writing and producing video content for KarenCivil.com, Billboard, XXL Magazine and The Source Magazine.
Since leaving the music industry as a journalist in 2018, Lindsey has expanded into marketing and focuses on mental health advocacy. She is currently a content strategist and copywriter, lending her talents to small brands and non-profits to help grow audience development, community engagement, partnerships and create original social media content. Get to know her writing style, as well as her growth, as a journalist, content creator and mental health advocate in her copywriting portfolio below.
